With MC, tapestry needle and ensuring all squares are RS up, sew three squares to form a horizontal row; work all stitches in the back loops only (BLO) of each square. Sew the fourth square to the bottom of the middle square to create a T shape. With RS facing, fold the fourth square on top of the middle square, then fold edges of both outside squares diagonally (forming two triangles), sew these folded edges to the fourth square. Weave in ends.

2. Work in rounds from here in the amigurumi style, in a spiral without slip stitching or turning chains. Use a stitch marker or waste yarn to keep track of the first stitch of each round.
3. Round 2: Chain 1, tr around, do not join.
4. Rounds 3-5: As Round 2.
